Stop Smoking: You'll Live Longer

by Stephan Grindley

Preparing to quit smoking and kick the habit for good requires both mental and physical preparation in order to be successful. Making this decision can't be a spur of the moment choice, as the build up of the cigarette addiction took time, so will the end of the addiction take time.

Most smokers whether they are heavy smokers or social find it difficult to quit because of the lack of nicotine in their bodies. We are not addicted to the many substances found in cigarettes it is the nicotine that causes us to be addicted and makes us think that with out a smoke we cant relax or keep from being stressed out.

Lots of smokers discover to their chagrin that they simply give up on the idea of quitting. Within a week of putting down their cigarettes, they experience so many conflicting and varied emotions that they aren't able to persist with their program. These emotions are caused by chemical fluctuations in the brain, which has been trained to expect regular doses of nicotine. This is why the cold turkey method of quitting is rarely effective.

A number of programs are available that can assist people in their quests to stop smoking once and for all, but it can be a challenge to find the one that works for you. Often these programs and/or products claim to work quite quickly. Among the available options you may find nicotine gums, lozenges, patches and inhalers and they are all similar in cost to a carton of cigarettes.

So is there a product that will help you stop smoking and keep you from going back to this nasty habit?Cigarrest has helped millions of people successfully quit smoking. One of the reasons that people have success is that you mentally set yourself up to quit, you pick a date and follow through with it, and this program can help get you ready for the physical changes you will go through when you quit.

Though quitting can be very hard, a lifestyle free of smoke is worth it. You'll breathe more easily, be able to exercise more than before, have more energy to use, and you will not reek from the stench of cigarettes. Committing to a program to stop smoking is better for your health and will help you to live a longer and better life.

Preparing to successfully stop smoking for good demands that a person prepare both the mind and the body. Just as it took time to develop a cigarette addiction, it will also take time to end such an addiction. A number of programs are available to assist people in their quest to no longer smoke, but it can be a challenge to find one that works for you. Often these programs and products make greatly exaggerated claims regarding their effectiveness. Among the available options is cigarrest, nicotine gum, lozenges, patches and inhalers. They are all similar in cost to a carton of cigarettes.
